There will be an ice-cream social on Thursday evening, between 6-8pm, at the school and some of the teachers are serving!

You can also pick up the gift wrap you ordered. See you there!
Help Wanted for Staff Luncheon
November 4th

The PTA will be providing lunch for the staff on November 4th. But we need your help! If you can assist by offering an appetizer, main dish, side salad, desert, or beverage, please contact Kathy Somer 703.716.5905.

And don't forget to confirm your appointment for a parent-teacher conference on the 3rd or 4th of November.

Labels for Education
October UpdateLabels for Education

Terraset's first Labels for Education Collection Drive was a great success, with $186 worth of Box Tops and many, many Campbell's labels collected!  Seventy-two students from all 18 classrooms participated, about 18% of our student population.

Miss Matthews' Kindergarten class collected the most labels, and shared their prize-- a Mrs. Field's giant chocolate chip cookie-- this past Friday.

We are well on our way toward meeting our goal of $600 for the year. Many thanks to those who lent a hand in processing the thousands of labels that we collected.  Miss Donovan's class counted and bagged the Box Tops (a big job!), and Annette Bobby, Tammy French, Aimee Minto, and Kim Robinson helped trim the Campbell's labels. Thank you also to the WTER announcers who spread the word and who welcomed representatives from Miss Matthews' class on air to receive their certificate.

Watch next week's Tuesday folder for new collection sheets and news about the next collection drive when we will try something new.  This time the class with the highest participation rate will win a Pizza Party! Students should start now encouraging their classmates to bring in Box Tops and Campbell's Labels, and class parents can get into the spirit and cheerlead their class to success.  The more kids in your class who contribute, the better your class' chances of enjoying a pizza party together!

The deadline for submission is December 12.  Keep collecting!

SCA Bake Sale
Serving all voters!

On Tuesday, November 4th the Student Council Association (SCA) will be offering all voters, parents, Terraset staff and passers-by the opportunity to buy something sweet. This is an important fundraiser for our students!

Needless to say, they will be accepting donated baked goods for their Bake Sale. All goods should be delivered to Mrs. Golden's room, # 206, on Monday, Nov 3rd. Please wrap the items individually-- goods will be sold for 50c to $1.

The SCA will also have a donation pitcher for people who may not want to buy the tasty items but would like to make a donation.
