| Dear Friend of Terraset,
We are nearly half-way through
winter and your PTA is working to offer warm-and-toasty indoor
activities that help to keep you in touch with the school!
But first, a reminder... there
are two teacher workdays coming our way! So, there is no
school for the kids tomorrow, Friday 1/29, nor Monday 2/1.
But to make up for that, there
is plenty to do at the end of the week!

School Science Fair
Thursday, February
25th

The school will be hosting its
annual Science Fair on Thursday, February 25th. What a wonderful winter
event. The kids have a great opportunity to keep themselves busy on
these cold afternoons by planning, executing and reporting
on their own science experiment!
The lower level students
typically work on a class project together, but the older kids are
encouraged to present their own project.
Review the materials the
school sent home last Tuesday and talk to your child's teacher if you
need to.
Yesterday, two first graders
were playing "Rock Scientists", they were collecting rocks, smashing
them open then cleaning them off with fine paint brushes. All they need
to do now is write about their observations. Clearly they have caught
the science fair bug!
