| Dear Friend of Terraset,
The best laid plans of mice and
men... we had planned to get these announcements out before the end of
school, but life (and spring colds) got in the way! Not to worry, there
is still time to think about the things going on at school after spring
vacation!
The biggest thing to think about is
what you can do to help with the Carnival on April 25th. You
should have received the carnival booklet last Tuesday. If you have not
completed the volunteer form please do so now and send it into school. This form also includes pre-paid tickets request!

Terraset's Sure Got Talent
From the Archives: Terraset Tigers in the FIRST Talent Show in 2007
 |
About 65 Terraset kids performed in Terraset's Got Talent
last Thursday and demonstrated just how well the show is
named! Performances ranged from singing to skits, included
soloists and groups, and demonstrated what a supportive and caring
community of parents and teachers can do to help kids pursue their
dreams.
The show, sponsored by Terraset Elementary SCA, required participants
to audition and then attend many early morning rehearsals. It all
came together under the guiding hand of Mrs Golden with the assistance
of a number of teachers and parents.
Congratulations to everyone! It was a great night of entertainment. If
anyone has any photos from this year's events, could you send them in? |

fifth and sixth grade peer editors already at work. Poems, short
stories, non-fiction pieces, riddles, jokes and comics are all

Carnival Poster Competition
The Earth Day Carnival needs a poster, so Terraset students are encouraged to enter our poster competion!
Terraset was built as an environmentally friendly and energy efficient
school. The Earth Day Carnival draws on this history by promoting
recycling, renewing and re-using! Major attractions will include the
Family Fun Run, a Silent Auction, and many different "green" games and
activities.
Competition Guidelines:
- Poster design should represent the carnival theme
- Do NOT include any titles, dates or wording - all text will be added to a digital master using the winning artwork
- We suggest you use markers to create your artwork
- Your finished poster should be 18" x 24"
- Your entry should be submitted by Wednesday, April 7th, 2010.
- Contest is open to Terraset K-6th grade students only
- The winner will be announced on Friday, April 9th on WTER.
The winning poster will be displayed
throughout the wider Terraset community to promote the Earth Day
Carnival to be held Sunday, April 25th
