Things that are about to happen!
The beginning of the school year is always
busy. So here is a short preview of things to come.
We will have our first meeting just
before Back-to-School night at 6:15pm on Monday September 12th. try to
join us so you can get a good feel for what the PTA does.
The PTA is in the throws of organizing its first Tigers
on the Town evening. This is usually a great fun night for all
the family. We arrange with a restaurant to expect many Terraset Tigers
one night and they give us a percentage of the proceeds. Win-win for
all. We hope you will join us.
October will see the return of the Terraset
Read-a-thon. We held our first last year and it was a HUGE
success, raising about $8,000 for the school. We would love to do that
again this year. Students, their families, and staff are all invited to
read. There are participation prizes, top reader prizes and top
fundraiser prizes. The kids had a ball last year and read over 650, 000
minutes. Let's see if we can top it this year!
One of the very exciting programs offered by Terraset
PTA is Reflections -- a visual and performing arts
program for all students. This program invites kids to submit
paintings, photographs, choreography, musical compositions or essays --
whatever your child is inspired by could provide a forum for expressing
this year's theme "Diversity Means...". Sumissions close on October
21st.
We will be calling for new members
over the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye open for your opportunity
to join.

Terraset
staff have been working hard for the past couple of weeks preparing the
school for our children. We would like to thank them by offering a
breakfast on Friday, September 9th.
