PTA in Your Community |
Butterfly GardenTerraset's Butterfly Garden is a product of its hard working community. With a long history of conservation, it seemed natural for Terraset PTA to enhance the educational experiences of its students, teachers and community members by promoting the use of the outdoors as a teaching tool. Designed by one of our members, the garden has been established and maintained by our children, staff, and parents. The garden was planned to provide some protection for insects and their environment. The Butterfly Garden was created with the support of the National Wildlife Federation’s Schoolyard Habitats®Program and provides enriching and interactive educational opportunities that foster enthusiasm in the school's students and educators alike. If you are interested in helping to care for the garden or want to know more about it, please contact Kim Lowther, The Natural Connections and Grounds Chair at kim.lowther@verizon.net |
